Thai Yoga Massage combines the best of yoga and massage in a rhythmic, flowing, dance-like partnership between practitioner and recipient. The practitioner uses hands, feet, arms, and legs to gently guide the recipient into various yoga postures and stretches and applies pressure to specific energy lines with palms and thumbs. The recipient rests, fully clothed, on a futon-like mat during the session, and the massage is customized to meet the needs of each person. It can provide amazing results to reduce stress, ease discomfort, and create total relaxation.
Beth is trained in the Lotus Palm method of Thai Yoga Massage, which is grounded in the philosophy of Metta, or loving-kindness and compassion, symbolized by the lotus flower. Hence, Lotus Palm means "compassionate touch," and that is the spirit of this work.
